Accessibility and Facilities

Bechstein Hall is committed to ensuring access for all. Should you have any suggestions as to how we might improve the experience for those attending, please email us at info@bechsteinhall.com

Wheelchair Users and Patrons who have a mobility impairment

Bechstein Hall provides step-free access to all areas within the complex. This route is accessed via the right-hand side ‘box office’ entrance on Wigmore Street.

We have a large passenger lift that provides access to the bar, restaurant, and lounge area in the basement.

A fully compliant accessible toilet is located adjacent to the cloakroom in the basement.

The auditorium has four levels;

Wheelchair users are seated in the auditorium’s front row, providing quick access to double doors leading to the passenger lift.

There are three internal steps within the auditorium leading to the upper-raked seating areas.

Access to the auditorium from the main foyer is via two steps.

Purchasing tickets for disabled/visually impaired seating.

Please email mark@bechsteinhall.com providing your phone number, and he’ll call you back so that we might best understand your individual needs.

If a personal assistant/carer is needed, their ticket will be provided with a 50% discount on the standard ticket price.

NB: we will endeavour to seat the assistant/carer as close to you as possible but this is subject to availability at the time of booking.

Assisted hearing facilities

Bechstein Hall is equipped with a Loop to help hearing aid users receive clear concert sound without background noise.

Patrons can use this facility by switching their hearing aids to ‘T’.

Visitors who are Blind or Partially Sighted

Guide dogs are very welcome in the auditorium. Should you wish to leave your doggy with our staff, we will provide fresh drinking water, and comfortable place for them to rest during the performance. Please book via the phone so that we can best accommodate you and your dog.
