Metanio

Mirco Candeloro, artistically known as Metanio, born in 1992. He began playing the piano at the age of 12 and within less than a year was already composing his first pieces. Music was a form of therapy for him, as he suffered from a severe stutter that made it difficult for him to relate to other people.
He developed the artistic name Metanio, inspired by the molecule of the same name, which, having an extra hydrogen atom, is particularly unstable. In this instability, he perceives the essence of art itself, which needs to seek order from chaos to create something new and evolve.
His composition focuses on neoclassical piano music, combining classical technique with the sounds, forms and structures of modern music, whilst always maintaining a minimalist approach. His inspiration always stems from personal experiences, emotions or small details of everyday life that he transforms into music. His pieces have a strongly descriptive character, as suggested by titles such as “When Love Begins”, “Your Bright Eyes” or “Soft Clouds Over Water”.
He currently lives between London and Vienna, producing neoclassical music available on all major streaming platforms. Recently, he was selected for the European programme Working with Music at the Vienna Music Institute (VMI), where he has given several concerts at the Concert Hall and has played at the Edinburgh Music Festival.
EARTH AND SOUL - Programme
EARTH AND SOUL – A journey from the contemplation of nature to the complexities of human emotions. Original compositions in a neoclassical style.
FIRST MOVEMENT – Landscapes of the Soul: The compositions of this first movement arise from the quiet observation of the natural world.
SECOND MOVEMENT – The Dynamics of Feelings: The compositions of the second movement explore the complexity of human relationships between moments of joy and more challenging times, where each piece becomes a portrait of an encounter, a dialogue, a connection that forms or breaks.
