Ustinya Malinina is a rising young mezzo-soprano making a name for herself on the international classical music stage, while continuing her postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music in London.
Singing in five languages, she is celebrated for her vocal richness, musical sensitivity, and captivating stage presence.
Ustinya has performed as a soloist at renowned venues across the globe, including Crocus City Hall in Moscow, the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall in St. Petersburg, the Gasteig in Munich, Tokyo Opera City in Japan, Bechstein Hall in London, and the Lerici Music Festival in Italy.
Her achievements have been recognized through a number of prestigious awards. In 2023, she won First Prize at the Gold International Classical Music Competition, the Grand Prize at the World Classical Music Awards, and the Absolute First Prize at the World Grand Prix International Music Contest. She went on to win the Platinum Prize in the 2023/24 London Young Musician Competition, and in 2025, she was named “Best Future Singer” at the Basel International Song Competition held at Tokyo Opera City.
Gianluca Marcianò, praised by The Sunday Times for his “theatrical and idiomatic conducting,” is an internationally acclaimed conductor. He is Principal Conductor of the Orchestra della Magna Grecia, Principal Guest Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, and Artistic Director of the Al Bustan Festival.
He has led major opera houses and festivals, including English National Opera, Teatro San Carlo, and Guangzhou Opera House, and collaborated with artists such as Bryn Terfel, Elīna Garanča, and Gautier Capuçon. His work spans leading orchestras like the Royal Philharmonic, Hallé, and BBC Concert Orchestra.
Founder of the Lerici Music Festival, he has also served as Music Director at the State Opera of Tbilisi and the Serbian National Theatre. Recent engagements include Tosca, Turandot, and Aida, with upcoming projects at Teatro Lirico and Grange Park Opera.
His discography features the acclaimed album Momento Immobile. Marcianò is an Opera for Peace Ambassador and holds a Political Science degree from the University of Pisa.
