Boisterous yet gentle, Viatr’s art rock songs blend elements of rock, jazz, folk and classical music with experimental sounds, absorbing eclectic music of acts like Radiohead, Ludovico Einaudi and Bon Iver. The band name is duly taken from the Polish word for wind – whispering soft textural melancholy that can suddenly morph into riff-driven energy. Retrospective lyrics, often odd time signatures and intricate arrangements give rise to the band’s message of embracing inner fears and exploring the ever-changing human nature.

Formed as a quartet in late 2020, the group started off with progressive/math rock influences which could be heard on their debut EP “Memory Interior”, self-released in 2024.

Currently a Polish/Dutch/Norwegian trio, composed of Diana Opiela (vocals, piano), Fons Houtman (guitar) and Kristin Hille-Krumsvik (bass guitar), Viatr evolved into more ambient, cinematic soundscapes. They are in the process of recording their second release, while playing live around London.

Support act by Body Orchestra

Body Orchestra is the brainchild of Vincent Curson Smith (Insecure men, Pet Deaths, Denh Izen), usually performing as a trio playing music influenced by jazz, minimalism, rock music and the avant garde. In his solo shows, C Smith explores intimate interpretations of both Body Orchestra tunes and the music of artists such as Ornette Coleman, Robert Wyatt and Brian Eno.
