Our Concept
My goal is to make going to a concert a beautiful experience.
The standard 19.30 commencement time offered elsewhere means one cannot comfortably eat dinner before or after the performance. At Bechstein Hall, I have structured the timings of our programming to allow concertgoers to do just that. Selecting Bechstein Hall as your destination will enable you to enjoy a relaxed meal before or after your preferred performance time, whether dining here at the Hall or elsewhere.
Our weekday performances last for one hour with no interval and are offered at 18.30 and 20.30 each evening. This allows our guests to select their preferred performance time and either dine after the earlier performance or before that later performance. Should you not wish to dine in our elegant and quiet restaurant, please feel free to relax and enjoy our comfortably appointed bar and lounge areas.
On Saturdays, we offer a unique ‘dinner’ series. If you opt to dine with us, your meal's first and second courses are served at your dedicated table before the performance's first half. During the interval, you return to your dedicated table to find your desserts and drinks waiting for you, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. Again, should you not wish to dine with us, access to our bar and lounge areas is provided.
Join us for our ‘Sunday Roast’ Series on Sundays during chilly autumn and winter months. A delicious traditional two-course Sunday lunch is available from noon, followed by a one-hour performance at 14.00. We deliberately conclude at 15.00 so you may travel home in daylight hours.
On Sundays in the warmer months, we will also offer a ‘bottomless’ coffee service from 09.30, followed by a shorter recital of just 45 minutes, concluding at 11.15.
